Love in Contract ( Episode 3)

Here come Ep 3 of Love in Contract 

I so love it that this show doesn’t drag so long about mystery of Ji ho’s occupation. 

So this is how the Ep 3 started .. it’s genuinely showed insight of Ji Ho’s job and when and how he first met Sang Eun for the very first time. 

So how many of us get it right about his occupation? Most guess he is  profiler , prosecutor, secret agent, spy, lawyer and judge.. 

Congratulations to those get it right!! Cuz I also got it wrong hehe.. I still believe he fits better as prosecutor considering the given actions in the previous episodes hmmm.. 

So the two ML & FM met in the court but ironically unbelievably she didn’t seem to remember him at all, as we all see she also curious what his occupation.

Well so many unbelievable things happen in this drama anyway. 

It took me great patience to wait for this show & I watched with with great excitement. 

Yet I feel the enjoyment in this Ep3 isn’t up to my expectation. Unlike others, I can ignore the lope hole , I believe , as story goes , they will explain why Sang Eun didn’t remember Ji Ho as the judge who was in her divorce court for 6times or more . 

My expectation in Ep3 :

Our two leads going to be closer and sweeter as the cliffhanger from last ep suggested.

FL is slayed as always , she always come out cool confident & only lose it when she saw ML. Which is funny to watch how her knee turned weak every time she is with Ji ho. 

This goes same with Ji Ho , who seems to try his best to be proper in front of ML. It’s sad that the fact that they acted out their role as a perfect wife and husband, makes them not able to know each well, despite being together for 5years.

What I love about Ep3: 

The early revealing of ML’s job is best here , and I love ML & FL’s conversation during the last dinner , they seem to be more relaxed with each other. It makes me curious as fan , how this two going to be real lovers in the upcoming ep considering their never ending awkwardness, & miss communication. But I’m sure it’ll be fun to watch the twist and I can’t wait to see their first kiss 🤭

I love how they show the atmosphere and colleagues at ML’s work. It’s really funny! 

I love scene where ML explained about his job to second ML and we can see their is slight smile on FL likes she really into her husband.

I don’t have much say about Second ML , he is adorably annoyed but I still like him for making ML showing some jealousy, it’s going to be more fun now that he finds out about FL’s job & her relationship with ML.

 

Reality hits hard in Ep3 :

It wasn’t so entertaining as I expected , they go on and on about stalkers & some old flashbacks relay again & again , too little new story for our leads. 

Looked like the first time , ML started talking on and on about legal advices for FM, which she found him was rude and inconsiderate for her case . They actually drawn away by few unlikely moments and confusions.

FL become so unbelievably close with second ML in the very short time & yet ulikely event. In this ep , these 2 have so much screen time , that even make me fell jealous on behalf of the ML.

If I don't know it's a Rom Com, I'd really think it's this is horror drama, this writer really good at this!

More Coming Fun: 

I sense the fun is coming as we can see in the preview for EP 4.

Our 2 leads are going to Concert together , and they pretend to be sweet when they met ML’s professor or superior.

ML is unknowingly opened up his thought about FL and seemingly showing jealousy when he saw second ML and FL together, which made him more human , and kinda cute . 

FL keeps falling for ML’s charm every time he appears.

Love in Contract (Oct-2022) Kdrama

“Love in Contract”

Sounds like fun already, though it seems cliché and like we all know what going on in this drama.

 

Of course, as the title implies, the characters in this drama are entangled by a fun strange contract, then it turns to love. Also, it’s Rom-com, we all know it’s going to be a happy ending too. 

Just like it always is, this contract relationship is so entertaining to watch. Actually this one is a bit different for those we have seen before and it’s not realistic in real life at all.

 

This is how we going to enjoy this drama so much, likes it’s so crazy, how this possible, yet it keeps you want to watch more to find the answer.

The dialogue is quite catchy though the stories are told incoherently, they are a bit of here and there. But I’d take it as an upbeat way of telling stories, so we won’t be bored watching a too smooth story-telling drama like we always do.

Ep 1&2 : 4/5

The first ep started of so well with the the female lead (Sang-Eun) 's narrate boasting about how wonderful her husband is " he is handsome , wealthy , has manner , and considerate as he understands very well the nature of his wife's job". This is indeed an ice breaker start, and we got to see the potential hot relation of our two leads.

Next sense , ML starts telling audience about her job as a wife on contract , scene by scene is so fun to watch, as FL is kinda of cute , cheeky and hot same time. I love seeing her looking so different in various beautiful outfit. The styling of the FL is so eye candid.

We can feel that the ep 1 is well packed with so many stories. There's no single boring scene in the ep 1 at all.

It also tells lots of background stories, same times introduce conflicts and mysteries to hook audiences wanting to watch more. The fun is that we may start to guess what and why now, and have to watch more to check out the answers in the upcoming episodes. (Be aware that I’m trying not to spoil).

Her ex husband is so ideal, who has become her roommate and bestie after divorce.

This is perfect BFF in every girl's dream. 

a handsome gay best friend.

Who seems to always know what going on in her mind like he knows her even better than herself.

Conflict & flow:

It’s quite excited to watch every character has their own mysteries and missions to complete. On top of that, audience will find some situation that so relatable.

 

FL can cook well ,her meals are delicious , but look at the mess left behind every cooking lolz

Twists: 

There are some good twists in ep1 and 2 that make you feel likes you didn’t see it’s coming, not the best one yet. 

 

Cast: 5/5

In Ep1 & 2 , all main casts fits their roles, in short FUNNY & Crazy. I can see they try to tell same old stories in different ways. 

Park Ming Young as Choi Sang-Eun : 

She is in her finest role in Rom-com. She delivers her line and expression well along with those cunning cheeky dialogues as a high-class escort. But when they show that she can fight in that short skirt and high heels, I’m not convinced, she looked extremely odd. Same for those times she speaks foreign languages. No offense ! I like her , but It's just odd.

When I hear Sang Eun speaks English, It reminds me of Park Gyu-young in "Dali and Cocky Prince" who can speak perfect English. 

I think she looked too skinny in this drama. I miss those days when her face was rounder, I guess this is just aging matter. But she indeed matched her role as early 30s and still a confident hot and cute lady. 

Go Kyung-pyo as Jung Ji-Ho: 

He is super handsome and cool in this one. I bet he’s going to have lots more fans after this drama. I love it that he looked convincing as a mysterious, introvert , and odd man with few lines. 

He is also in a good shape and outfit in every scene, his aura is like goblin. The show tries to confuse us with his suspicious behavior as serial killer, but I believe he isn’t. It’s also fun to find out what his actual occupation later in the show. 

We lady all are going to love this character as he is someone who very considerate (just for female lead though) and can cook well. The drama captures his best angle that make he is shine every time he comes out.

What audiences going to enjoy from his character is that He hardly speaks , and when he speaks, it’s sth going to make you want to laugh or smile inside even it’s just simple line.

His character reminds me of Lee Min Ki in “This is my first life”. I believe as story develops, he will become more human.

Kim Jae-young as Kang Hae-Jin: 

This second male lead is surprisingly cute and cuter every time he comes out though his character is unrealistic. His visual is getting better time to time, yet his outfit is over the top. I guess it’s because his role is a super star so he can’t wear sth so normal. 

He also the source of laughter. I bet audiences are going to love his pure innocent image and impress the loyal crush on the female lead. His character seems fluffy easy going and talkative, which is opposite the male lead. It’s also enjoyable watching his screen time with the male lead, their lines are kind of unpredictable in these first 2 ep.

What is fun in the upcoming ep is his reaction when he finds out the contract relationship of the ML & FL.

Surprisingly , We have Nana as cameo in the first ep. she hit it off so well.

 

Setting: 5/5

It’s eye candid, I enjoyed watching these cute people doing cute stuff . It’s light and refreshing drama over all. 

Fancy dining, fancy apartment, fancy solo trip, fancy cool fashion, amazing friendship, contract husband-wife-relationship____ all of these are something going to make you enjoy thus drama.

 

Frustration: 

I don’t like watching character talking to herself, it seems weird. but I guess cuz this role is indeed not a normal one. There are some unnecessary scenes that I fast forwards, but not so annoying. Just that I only love to see the moment the two main casts together (Ji ho & Sung eun), their visuals and ambiences are strong though they don’t talk much. But so far, their chemistry isn’t sparked yet. I think it’s too early to judge. Hope more sweet scenes to come.

Conclusion:

 

It’s a must watch and has good quality of rewatch for fun. I recommend to watch it with your besties as you going to have lots to discuss and guess on and on.

I watched it in a very unlikely moment, my mood isn’t ready for watching anything, as I’ve been taking break from drama. Yet I enjoyed so much and now totally hooked. Really can't wait for the next ep.

My advice before watching: 

Watching ongoing drama, be aware that if we are too hooked, it's suffering to wait. if it's not good enough, we easily fed up. The drama that I decided to give up half way during the waiting are "Alchemy of Souls" & "Why's her".

Anyway, Let's enjoy some cool outfits of Sang Eun in the ep1 and 2 , and see which one you love best :
